Genesis 11:5

But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building.
Genesis 11:5

God cares about you so much. He didn’t just make you and let you go. He loves you and desires you. He thinks the world of you, dear child. You are seen and known by the One True God. Today is the next leg of your new journey with Him. Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, He is with you and mighty enough to transform your daily routine into something extraordinary.

There will be days in life where weariness sets in and maybe even a ton of tears of disappointment well up. Remember your heavenly Father never leaves you on your own. When the men and women began building the tower of Babel, their hearts were set on creating something so they could make a name for themselves (Genesis 11:4). When you commit your life to creating and living according to God’s way and making His name famous, you can know you are fulfilling your life’s purpose.

Believe it when He says He comes down and sees you. Let Him take over and have His way. You won’t regret it.

Hard days and sadness may last for a season, but those are only shadows. Close your eyes for a moment and think about His radiant light that lit up the sun and the stars and galaxies. That same forever glow shines in your heart and has the power to push back the darkness. As the river of His hope carries you on, remember that you matter. Oh, how you matter to Him!

Lord, please give me a tender heart that desires You like You desire me. Sometimes it feels like there’s a whole gigantic world between us. Other moments, I believe that You are here. I want to live this journey Your way. Thank you, Lord, for loving me.
