God's Providence

When one of my children has a problem, I can often see the bigger picture. When we as God's children have a problem, God always sees the bigger picture.

The Lord says He will lead his children down a new path, “guiding them along an unfamiliar way,” brightening the darkness before them and smoothing out the road ahead of them. 

It's easy to be angry when we don’t get what we want, but we can trust that God has so much better for us.

When you’re thrown into a den of anxiety, trust that God has gone before you with a rescue plan. 

Overwhelmed with fear of our future, we are prone to forget God's faithfulness. We must be intentional to take our eyes off ourselves, our weakness, and our need, and fix them on Jesus as we take time to remember who He is and what He has done.

The fame of the God of the Jews had spread generations before, during a time of intense suffering, to prepare the world for the coming of One who would be called a Light to the Gentiles. Often, in times of suffering, it may be that God is doing something much larger.

In Luke 1:38, we see a young Mary saying “yes” to the plan that God had for her life. Her “yes” brought our Savior, Jesus Christ, into the world.  There are several things to keep in mind as we make ourselves available for God’s plan.

The awe-inspiring stars that light up the deep night sky remind us to keep our eyes on the loving God who made both them and us to shine His light in this world of darkness.

You are not a “chance” but an intention. God intended to give you life, and He intended to give you a Savior. He invites you to believe that His plans for you are better than anything you could create on your own.

Closed doors and unanswered prayer can make us suspect that God has rejected our prayers, or has no good plans for us. But often He is working behind the scenes to bring much better things out of our wait.
